AT-SPI has a document interface but it only has methods for getting the
locale and doc specific attributes. See
http://www.gnome.org/~billh/at-spi-new-idl/html/html/classAccessibility_1_1Document.html.

In IA2 those methods are implemented, but on the IA2 interface rather
than on a separate IADocument interface. Where there more methods planned
for the doc interface in AT-SPI?

No, I think it was an unintentional omission in IAccessible2.

Agree, should be added to IAccessible2. We were talking about it in this
week meeting. Not sure if there was any reason behind leaving it out, or
it was just a historic accident that ATKDocument was being discussed at
the same time as IA2 was being born.
