I think this also raises the more general question regarding the future of the FAQ: as it is now, it is slowly decaying to the point where it will be practically unusable. As far as I can see, the FAQ need not even be as exhaustive as the old one used to be: a simple list of (links to) posts where some of the frequently asked questions are discussed and a list of instances where the old FAQ no longer is correct might well be sufficient. However, it is of course much easier to say what should be done than to do it, and I am definitely not the one to volunteer for this. Anyone else?
