for The Bat! users: here is the useful addition on the topic, . You can transform > http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/[PROJECTNAME]/[FILENAME]?download into this > http://[MIRRORNAME].dl.sourceforge.net/[PROJECTNAME]/[FILENAME] via just a couple of keystrokes, if you use such a quick template http://belnet.dl%SUBPATT="1"%SETPATTREGEXP="http://prdownloads(\.sourceforge\.net/[^?\s]+)"%REGEXPMATCH="%CLIPBOARD" (above is one single line. If it got splitted , pls remove line breaks) Create this quick template in The Bat!, assign a short handle to it, for example "SF", and whenever you encounter a link like this http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/poptray/PopTray310.exe?download copy it into clipboard, then type "sf" without quotes inside The Bat's new message window and you will get: http://belnet.dl.sourceforge.net/poptray/PopTray310.exe P.S this template may look tricky to you if you are not famiiliar with regular expressions and The Bat's template syntax. Well I belive learning those is a good investment of time. a good collection of quick templates for The Bat! is located here http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/Library.html The Bat! user discussion list info is here http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/tbudlinfo2.html The Bat! itself can be downloaded here http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/download.php To study regular expressions I recommend you this tutorial http://www.regular-expressions.info/tutorial.html and concise regex reference http://www.regular-expressions.info/reference.html or this pdf manual http://www.powergrep.com/manual/PowerGREP.pdf (600KB) There is a discussion group on googlegroups where you can ask question on how to build a specific regular expression.
