[Adastra] New light on ice-like fungi from last winter

I think it was last winter when photos were posted of something which looked
like ice in a woodland - Patrick, Howard?
A few weeks ago I saw something which wasn't dissimilar and caught my attention
as I haven't seen it before. In a piece of mixed woodland near Fernhurst, there
were many Fly Agaric growing at the base of conifers. Several of these had
white fungal mycellia emerging from the decomposing toadstool and some had
formed white cotton-wool like masses which appeared to be similar to the
mystery pictures.
