Hi folks

Just to confirm, West Sussex County Council made the announcement at the
Pagham Harbour Advisory Board on Tuesday night that they have approached
us (the RSPB) to start formal discussions over this.

Their statement and Q&As are here
http://www.westsussex.gov.uk/ccm/content/environment/the-west-sussex-cou
ntryside/the-coastal-plain/pagham-harbour-local-nature-reserve/news.en
<http://www.westsussex.gov.uk/ccm/navigation/environment/the-west-sussex
-countryside/the-coastal-plain/pagham-harbour-local-nature-reserve/> ,
although it's worth emphasising that it is very early days in the
process so there are many questions neither the Council nor we yet know
the answers to. For us our job now is to go through what we call 'due
diligence' where we find out everything we need to and speak to everyone
we need to.

The bottom line for us is to ensure such an important place has a secure
future.

Will keep you updated

Adrian

Subject: [Adastra] Goods news for Pagham Harbour

Saw on the local news this morning that, at long last, talks are taking
place for the management of Pagham Harbour to be handed over to a
conservation organisation!
