Sarah, a new website you might be interested in:

http://www.ispot.org.uk/

You can post pictures of species up and folk will attempt to id them for
you. You can also id things that you recognise for other people. Worth a
try, perhaps?

The site has been produced by the OU.

Charles

Subject: [Adastra] New light on ice-like fungi from last winter

I think it was last winter when photos were posted of something which
looked like ice in a woodland - Patrick, Howard?
A few weeks ago I saw something which wasn't dissimilar and caught my
attention as I haven't seen it before. In a piece of mixed woodland near
Fernhurst, there were many Fly Agaric growing at the base of conifers.
Several of these had white fungal mycellia emerging from the decomposing
toadstool and some had formed white cotton-wool like masses which
appeared to be similar to the mystery pictures.
