Dear Adastrans,Sussex Butterfly Conservation will be holding a special edition of their popular Quiz Nite upstairs at the Elephant & Castle in Lewes next Monday (Feb 15th) at 7:30pm to raise funds for conservation work in the county.
You don't need to be a lepidopteral genius to take part - all the questions are general knowledge - any idiot has the chance of getting some right - so why not bring your partners and friends?
Because everyone always tells me how much they enjoy the quiz - and because Sussex BC has just bought a lovely new nature reserve near Lewes - I've upped the entry price to £2 per person - still a bargain for a great Monday night out.
Despite the entry fee increase the prizes are still as dodgy as ever and range from underwear to your own personal moth trapping session at the venue of your choice this summer. The winning team will also take home the hallowed Charles Dickens Teapot of Champions - but the most important prize will be the smug feeling they will get knowing they have appeared slightly smarter than everyone else.
