The butterfly was in good condition and appeared to be feeding on the purple colored crocuses. The crocuses, which were in a patch of sunlight on the rockery, had opened for the first time. First clump of frog spawn 26th February in our garden pond. Following a night of heavy rain there were 5 new clumps of frog spawn and about a dozen frogs on the 28th February.
