You will see that those juridictions are the default ones now. Is it possible for you to give me the different juridictions we could find in the Netherlands? from the lowest to the highest but in dutch of course. One thing to remember though. It's a good option to give more juridictional entities in your header than the ones you use. You can have part of your family abroad, and your different juridictions must match the requirements for the Netherlands, but also for the USA for example. The gedcom specs, gives you the possibility to specify for a person a different format for your juridictions, but it's not very convenient. Are these fields matching what is returned by ws.geonames.org? We don't have an INSEE code and our zip-codes are a part of a street, or even part of a sky scraper, so the increasing jurisdiction would require it to precede "plaats", if it belong to jurisdictions at all. IMHO it is rather part of an address in the Dutch case, though you may consider the digits of the zip-code to be a jurisdiction. Zip code is an example of a juridiction. If for dutch people, a zip code must be placed before "plaats", I will change it right away as soon as you give me the different juridictional entities as I ask you above. Don't we need a mechanism to match the format component to the edit fields? Right click on a PLAC tag from the gedcom editor or the ancestris editor, then choose "Set hierarchy for places values", Here you can specify the different juridictions for your gedcom file, but again, if you do that, you must have all your places tags that match those juridictions. So be careful if you play with that, and have a backup of your genealogy before. It's mandatory to play it secure. So again, if in your header you have something like : 1 PLAC 2 FORM plaats,gemeente,,,provincie,land A place in your genealogy must be built that way : Jacobustraat,Rotterdam,,,I_dont_know_the_province,Nederland Francois P.S.
