We use daemontools to control the sites, and when you run "svc -t /service/whatever" it's supposed to kill and then restart the site. What happens on this particular one is that AOLserver gets this far:
[18/Jul/2005:16:35:50][11681.3086617504][-main-] Notice: nsmain: AOLserver/4.0.10 stopping [18/Jul/2005:16:35:50][11681.3086617504][-main-] Notice: driver: triggering shutdown [18/Jul/2005:16:35:50][11681.3086617504][-main-] Notice: serv: stopping server: live-gmt [18/Jul/2005:16:35:51][11681.3086617504][-main-] Notice: serv: connection threads stopped
and then the scheduled procs keep running and the server never fully shuts down. Hence, it never restarts either.
This site has a lot of scheduled procs:[18/Jul/2005:16:44:43][11681.3067268016][-sched:100-] Notice: Running Scheduled Proc: vocus_sync [18/Jul/2005:16:44:45][11681.3067268016][-sched:100-] Notice: ********** Begin Freshen Run ********** [18/Jul/2005:16:45:15][11681.3074845616][-sched:100-] Notice: Running Scheduled Proc: vocus_sync [18/Jul/2005:16:45:17][11681.3074845616][-sched:100-] Notice: ********** Begin Freshen Run **********
etc, etc and so forth. Is it just so busy that it never has a chance to fully shut down? If so, this is new behavior since AOLserver 4.0.1, which is what this site was running on before. And what can I do to fix it?
