Meghan,Check out the Ariel Scanners wiki at http://www.shareill.org/index.php?title=Ariel_Scanners. You could add any new info you get from listserv members. This is a topic that comes up often, so it would be helpful if everyone documented their knowledge/experience on the wiki.
Also, check out this discussion of "scanners that work with both ILLiad and Ariel" http://www.atlas-sys.com/community/index.php?topic=26.0

Hello All, OXG is badly in need of a new scanner, so we're looking for recommendations. We need something with a strong scanning bed, because we scan a lot of bound journals, and something with a reliable document feeder as well. We've got the latest version of Ariel. We'd greatly appreciate it if people could reply off-list and let us know what they're using and how well they like it (pros, cons, etc.), and which versions of Ariel and which OS they're using.
