Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this enquiry so I apologise in advance if it isn't. Please do let me know who the correct contact is and I will e mail them. Basically we have been using Ariel for about 7 years now and it has worked beautifully, until last month that is, when it started misbehaving. It scans the first two pages and then stops. It is definitely not the scanner (Epson) because the scanner works fine when using Epson Scan software but the stalling only happens when using Ariel. I have tried three different scanners (GT-15000, GT-20000 and the DS-6500N) and they all produce the same result.
I called Infotrieve but they are absolutely hopeless! They said that there was just one support person for the entire world who was busy and would get back to me soon. That was a month ago. I've not heard a word. I chased them about 10 days ago - again no luck. Has anybody else experienced this issue please? If so how (if) did you fix it? We only use Ariel to scan documents into TIFF format and then Send to Patron. We don't use any of the other methods of delivery. I am loathed to reinstall Ariel because (a) Infortrieve will need to activate the registration and given that they don't respond I'll be in a worse situation than when I started and (b) Ariel doesn't have a way for me to export the existing Patron List. Sure, I can restore from backup but will it restore the problem too? Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
