ICC TO ANNOUNCE “NORTH EAST EXCELLENCE AWARDS” AT 5TH NORTH EAST BUSINESS SUMMIT
 
The North East is once again poised for a behemothic Business Summit, the 5th 
successful joint effort of the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern 
Region (DoNER), Government of India, and the Indian Chamber of Commerce on 8th 
& 9th January, 2010, at Kolkata. 
 
Amongst many innovative contents of the program that has been a feature of the 
NEBS over the years, the 5th NEBS will introduce ‘North East Excellence Awards’ 
for outstanding contribution to socio-economic development of North Eastern 
India.
 
The awards will be given in three categories:
      North East Business Awards (For enterprises)
      North East Entrepreneur Awards (For outstanding entrepreneurs)
      North East Individual Achievement Awards (For excellence in Sports, Arts, 
Music, Social development, Environment conservation, etc)
 
The awardees would be chosen by an independent panel of Jury members from the 
NE Region, and would be felicitated at a special function at the 5th NEBS at 
Kolkata.
