Deforestation.

Well, the rest of the world managed to deforest itself pretty well.
Telling the developing world not to cut down its trees so as to absorb carbon 
being emitted by the West, seems, a bit rich if you ask me.
As for cr*p governments – you certainly get a lot more tin-pot dictatorships in 
the non-developed world, but whether that’s a cause or an effect varies. You do 
get bad government all over the place though.
