Hello everyone,
my problem: I use urxvt with the transparency option and a nice wallpaper.

When the layout changes, for example when spawning a terminal, urxvt
will show a slighly ugly border in the terminal, on the bottom and
right sides.
However, if I restart awesome by Mod4+Shift+R, the ugly borders will
be corrected.
Any layout modification will redraw all ugly borders in all terminals.

My rc.lua defines the terminal commands like this:
terminal = { 'uxrvt +sb -bc -uc -bl -tr -bg black -fg white -sh 80' }

This looks very related to other issues having to do with the
monospace font / incomplete last column and row situation.

I have read about the 'c.size_hints_honor = false' option and have set
it in my rc.lua.
I have no .Xdefaults or .Xresources file (if I create .Xdefaults
containing 'URxvt.borderLess: true', awesome will not manage it and it
will appear in the upper left corner of the display overlapping the
awesome's default systray).

I have read the uxrvt manual and related info, and also searched the
mailing list for previous posts.
My apologies if I missed some obvious info source.

The word "ugly" is very subjective. Here are some screenshots worth a
thousand words, before and after restarting

Awesome is my UI dream come true, I will spread the word.

thanks everyone for your time,
