thanks for your concern, we are all OK!
Actually, although it was a very strong earthquake
here in Lima, there were no casualties or major
damages.
In this 7 million city they learned to build
antisismic very quick after the 1970 earthquake, which
really produced some serious damages.
Unfortunately the affected old cities of Ica, Pisco,
Cañete, etc. had most of their buildings build with
adobe bricks, that's sun-dried mud, not very resistant
material, and since the streets were narrow, there was
no place to escape when the walls and buildings fell
down.
