Dear Benjamin,as far as I know there is no reproduction available that had been done before the deterioration. The only thing that we have is the transcription of Neemann, that had been taken before the damages occured. That's the closest we have to the original. And in the Dresden edition by Reich we also can imagine some of the notes (with a strong imagination), but these things will not be seen in any copy.
Best regards Markus Benjamin Narvey schrieb:
Dear collected wisdom, I'm trying to take a look at the above sonata, but both my facsimile of the Dresden manuscript as well as a high quality CD-Rom I have of it renders it illegible; the script has faded to such an extent that it is impossible to make it out. Does anyone have a forwardable reproduction of this sonata that was done before the deterioration occurred? I note that Bob Barto recorded this Sonata on Volume 4 of his Naxos project, so presumably a reprodution exists that allowed him to do so....... All best and thanks in advance, Benjamin
