Every movement is painful, but it still feels like a muscular > problem. > > Any experience of this? Yes. For me, it's a baroque lute problem. Never experienced it with the renaissance lute. But with the baroque lute I did, every now and then, after periods of intensive practising. Like all muscels of the left arm cramp, even up to the neck. When that happens, I stop practising for a day or two, and afterwards resume very slowly.
