It would seem that the Easter Bunny has not entirely forgotten fellow
Linux users with Blackberries, for another version of Barry is upon us!
(He's a Blackberry user as well, you see.)
This release brings new features and bugfixes in the library and the
opensync plugin.
Brian Edginton has added support for the Time Zone database on newer
Blackberries. A naming collision bug has been fixed in the opensync
plugin. The file format that btool uses to save parsed data has been
changed slightly, and a new tool (bs11nread) is available to read
such data without writing it back to the device. Build system fixes
for 64 bit systems are also included.
Binary packages for the following distros are available:
Fedora 6 and 7
OpenSuSE 10.2
Debian stable
Ubuntu 7.10
Source packages are available in the following formats:
Source RPM
Debian (orig.tar / diff.gz / dsc)
Tarball (tar.bz2)
Note that the barry-0.12.tar.bz2 and barry_0.12.orig.tar.gz are identical
except for the debian/ directory, which is a diff.gz patch for orig.tar.gz.
Those who have been using tar.bz2 won't see any changes.

If your bug hasn't been fixed or your favourite feature hasn't been
added this round, don't worry. The next release is already pending,
I just want to get some more testing in CVS before it goes out the door.
Please be sure to remind me of any problems you're experiencing by sending
a report to the mailing list! Thanks!

- added support for Ubuntu binary packages to the maintainer build

- fixed configure.ac's --with-boost option, so that without args,
it defaults to using --includedir and --libdir settings,
instead of hardcoding /usr/include and /usr/lib... this
should allow smarter compiling on 64 bit systems
- updated RPM spec file to use new --with-boost behaviour
- ahem, fixed configure.ac again... don't use --includedir and
--libdir, as those are install targets... oops.
Don't add path overrides at all if not specified.
