Hey all,

I've got a 4306 in my October 2003 Apple albook.

So I'm asking you whether anyone has got a chip revision like mine working? If not, any ideas what I should try?

I've got an iBook G4.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lspci | grep -i bcm
0001:10:12.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g
Wireless LAN Controller (rev 03)

It might be heresy on this list, but I'm running the Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 release on powerpc, and all I had to do is run:

$ sudo /usr/share/bcm43xx-fwcutter/install_bcm43xx_firmware.sh

and Ubuntu grabbed firmware from the WWW (via my Ethernet). After that, I just issued a few iwconfig commands and was immediately using DHCP on WEP. It's the easiest setup procedure I've ever had for getting the bcm43xx driver to work, and it's worked consistently for me. :-)
