Molly,
I had used Revolution on our cat for a year now. Aside from slight flakes at
the application spot (which lasts 2 days at worst), we had not had any
reactions. We started it (maybe a big mistake) almost immediately after his
surgery - he was wounded with an arrow on his prowl and took 4 days to come
back home, he was very weak and had fleas that bothered him, so we had to do
something with fleas right away to minimize his suffering. Even in his
weakened state he tolerated it well.
We are debating Revolution for a berner - the indications are somehow
different for cats and dogs. The booklet say that for dogs, it will control
infestations of american dog ticks as well as prevent/control/treat fleas,
ear mites, sarcoptic mange, heartworm. (The last sentence is for those who
have not yet looked at Revolution offering.) Our vets say that it works well
in their large practice. And it sounds attractive...
I had heard only positive things about Revolution, it would be useful to
hear negative ones (including second- and third-party accounts).
All the best,
Gulnara
with Bassia the cat and now berner Koda, the furry duo that is hillarious to
watch as they build their relationship . :-)
