Hi all, <<The booklet say that for dogs, it will control infestations of american dog ticks as well as prevent/control/treat fleas, ear mites, sarcoptic mange, heartworm.>>
As far as revolution is concerned, I think it is helpful to think of your particular needs and where you live. I do not use Revolution on my dogs for several reasons. By working in a vet hospital, I have seen what issues are primary problems for the majority of dogs. Sarcoptic mange and ear mites, for example are not frequently seen in adult dogs. Ear mites are primarily a puppy/kitten/cat problem and can't recall ever seeing them in an adult housepet dog (strays can a different matter but I can't recall seeing any on them either). As for fleas, clients report back that it does not seem to work as well on fleas/ticks as Frontline or Advantage (fleas only). Also, Revolution does not protect against any intestinal worms and with as many parks, dog shows, etc, I want my dogs to be covered for that. I also don't care for this product for my dogs because it does go into the bloodstream. I prefer Interceptor and Frontline/Advantage (if needed). <<Our vets say that it works well in their large practice. And it sounds attractive...>> I think this could be a key comment. A lot of this stuff varies by where you live. And while I don't necessarily think that every product a vet recommends is needed or the best, I don't think it hurts to find out what seems to be working in their practice. ===== Andrea Stefanac & Chance CD NDD CGC TT Richmond, VA [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
