Beloved brothers and sisters, Vande Matram! there was an article in Hindu 3 years ago in 2004: it said that the primary school drop out rate in India is more than 45%. What does this mean ? this means that even after 60 years of independence, every second child of India is becoming a child-labor just at the age of 10-11 in this 21st century, working in hotels, pulling rickshaw, working in hazardous occupations. Such a ruin of talent, such an inhuman treatment of children by this rotten socio-political system. Every second child becoming child-labor in 21st century India: it is high time that all of us seriously make joining Bharat Uday Mission fulltime as our topmost priority, far above than any other personal/family goal. It requires high courage, clear convictions and mental strength : a thousand such fulltimers and in next 10-30 years, we will make a great impact on socio-political system, raising every Indian from the mire of backwardness and poverty. However great a vision may be, its success depends solely on self-sacrificing spirit present in its members. Looking towards others for courage is beneath our dignity: one who can march alone, only he/she can inspire millions to march forward. Let us prove ourselves to be such a conscious, brave person. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was a householder, yet much to the sorrow of his wife and mother, he took Sanyas (after convincing both of them): when asked the reason, he told "The amount of socio-religious transformation, I aim to bring, is not possible without a monk's life." - think of his great sacrifice! Why don't we emulate his self-sacrificing spirit for the sake of our crores of child-labour sons and daughters ? we belong to such a great land, where supreme renunciation for selfless service has been exemplified in the lives our countless great men and women. Today, this beloved land of ours is groping in the darkness of backwardness, poverty and moral bankruptcy of intelligentsia and political class: it is high time that we should completely burn our selfishness to bring light upon this glorious land. Indeed ours is a path of struggle, but nothing worthwhile has ever been achieved in the history of human civilization without the price of struggle and sacrifices. One who does struggle with a positive attitude to alleviate the misery of his brethen, becomes emotionally pure and mentally strong with each hardship and with every thorn on the path and finally ends up being a great man with a pure heart and a super-strong mind, turning the course of history itself. Failure is never final, success is never-ending, persistence with a positive attitude is the only thing that counts in life. It is a truth that most of us can manage to join the Mission much earlier than we are planning, provided we really feel for that every second child in India, becoming a child-labor and consider him/her as our own children. Most of us have to overcome mental barriers, much more than financial barriers. Let some of us come forward and join the Mission by 2007-2008 AD: 2 years have passed since our Mission's formation and there is not a single fulltime member in this second freedom-struggle of India. How will this second freedom-struggle succeed unless we do total self-sacrifice and live only and only for the society as a fulltimer of the Mission ? Where are our Gandhis (Gandhi Ji launched his public life just at the age of 25) ? Aggrieved on Jalianwalla massacre (in which hundreds were killed mercilessly), Subhas Chandra Bose gave up ICS and joined freedom-struggle of India just at the age of 34-24. Today, again the lives of our crores of children (every second child) are being massacred by this rotten system: where are our Subhas who can give up their careers and plunge into the battle-field like a true hero ? Not by any amount of intellectual brainstorming (such brainstorming is done by every generation in 20s) , not by writing inspiring articles/books, but only and only through renunciation, this nation can be raised. Let such heroes armed with matchless weapon of renunciation, rise in our own lives as soon as possible. Let all of bachelors, forsake the desire of married lives: then we can surely and easily join the Mission in mid or late 20s: if Swami Vivekananda, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Newton, Anna Hazare, Ramakrishna Paramahansa did not loose any meaning of their lives by not having progeny, neither we nor our parents will lose ? If they can follow lifelong celibacy, we can and we will also do. It is high time, we should tell our family, "I don't see that boundary, within which I can consider the people as own people and beyond which, I can consider them other people. I am the father and mother of crores of children, many of them child-labour at tender age of 9-12 and teenage, I am the son/daughter of crores of mothers/fathers and I am the brother/sister of crores of brothers/sisters. That barrier of selfisheness and timidty is destroyed now for ever, which can stop me from sacrificing the self for others." - on the path of duty, even if we have to march alone, we must do so. The light of our own conscience will illuminate our own lives and those of our crores of unprivileged sons/daughters, mothers/fathers, sisters/brothers one day. Let all of join the Mission fulltime as soon as possible: as a testimony to this, please join BM_futurefulltime (group of those who will join as a fulltimer in future) here - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BM_futurefulltime This is the last appeal: let some of us break all psychological barriers through the strength of self-sacrificing spirit and join the Mission by 2007-2008 AD. This second freedom struggle needs fulltimers now! Let us fulfill this need by daring to choose conviction at the cost of convenience, principle at the cost of pleasure and courage at the cost of comfort.
