Dear Mr. Madera,
Thank you for your inquiry. Amtrak will be installing additional bicycle racks at
Philadelphia by September. We do not have the exact date, however, I was told it will
be installed by early September. They will be placed at various points around the
station for your convenience.
Sincerely,
Amtrak Customer Service

Message: I have heard that effective today, Amtrak will confiscate bicycles locked to
anything but the few bike racks provided at 30th Street Station, Philadelphia. These
racks, in addition to being difficult to use, are almost always full--thereby forcing
one to lock to sign posts and parking meters (in unsheltered locations, to boot!).
Please be considerate of your customers who wish to get to the station by bike.
Increase your bicycle parking capacity at 30th Street!
