Come work for THE advocacy organization for cyclists in the Philadelphia region. The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (BCGP) is currently seeking candidates for the following two part-time positions:
Event Coordinator/Office Manager
We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter to coordinate special events and manage the Bicycle Coalition's office. The successful candidate should have:
- a proven track record in all aspects of event production;
- experience managing an office environment, including administering a budget;
- computer skills with a strong knowledge of database software;
- strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of nonprofit legal requirements a plus. Cyclist preferred but not required. Some evening and weekend work required.
Bicycle Education Enhancement Program (BEEP) Project Coordinator
We are also seeking a Coordinator for our Bicycle Education Enhancement Program (BEEP). BEEP is a project working with the Philadelphia public schools to provide bicycling education and facilities to students. The successful candidate, working closely with the School District of Philadelphia, will oversee the development and implementation of teacher training, the mapping of safer routes to school, the acquisition and placement of bicycle racks at schools, and the acquisition of locks and helmets. The Coordinator will also help schools to acquire bicycles, and serve as an on-call resource for teachers as they implement the program. Cyclist strongly preferred.
