For thirty years, the Bicycle Coalition has counted on the support of bicyclists like you to make Greater Philadelphia a better place to bike. If your membership is up for renewal, please respond to the renewal mailing you will receive next week. If you are not a member, I'd be happy to send you a membership form in the mail. Just send me (not the entire list!) your postal address. There are many benefits to membership: * discount registration fees for the Freedom Valley Bike Ride and Moonlight Meander, * discounts at over 30 bike shops, * our redesigned CycleGram newsletter (coming soon!), and * a voice for cycling that will be heard at planning meetings across the region. Membership has supported many important Bicycle Coalition victories -- things you see every time you go out for a ride: * 160 miles of bike lanes in Philadelphia, * installation of 1,000 bike racks on all major streets in Center City and University City, * the first bicycle map of Philadelphia, * closure of West River Drive to cars on weekends, * increased bike access to SEPTA trains and subways, and * installation of 2,200 Share the Road signs. Please join me in supporting our future success by joining or renewing! -- Alex Doty 4827 Kingsessing Ave Philadelphia, PA 19143 (215) 727-0974 www.alexdoty.com ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the Bicycle Coalition of the Delaware Valley list named "bike."
