It looks like the longest multi-use trail in the region
has been all but wiped out. The most intense flooding along the Delaware since
Hurricane Diane in 1955 washed away about 30 miles of the red-stone trail along
the northern half of the canal and left serious breaches in the canal walls at
Raubsville, Lumberville, Washington Crossing and other locations. |
