I wanted to be able to ask questions like "What buses go through
Wharton State Forest?" Often times I'm willing to take my bike (when
permitted), walk, call a cab, etc., and so it's not useful to know
that no bus goes precisely where I want to go.

I wonder how many people would drive if there were no maps, but
operators standing by to give you specific routes to the places they
happen to know about.
