We haven't had a problem with lamb thieves ourselves, but one of our neighbors had 5 lambs AND the dog protecting them stolen! On our drive way we have a driveway alarm that sends an alarm to the receiver in the house with motion. The brand is "The Reporter" (don't get a cheap one, they send LOTS of false alarms or no alarm at all - this brand works great and the batteries last a LONG TIME - 2+ years so far). If you know what path the thieves are taking you could set it up so they would have to cross in front of it to get to your sheep or put it up in the barn at a level higher than the tallest sheep. I would also suggest camouflaging it as much as possible so they can't see it and thus avoid it. Good luck!
