Thank you, Mark! I'm still learning about the different hays, mainly by viewing and using what's available here in Northern Idaho. Thanks for taking the time to share the details! Right now I'm supplimenting alfalfa hay because the grass mix hay we got just isn't giving the nutrition that they need. "Usually" the grass mix hay will get them by until I need to suppliment for the last month of pregnancy, however this stuff isn't working well at all. All my 6 sheep are losing muscle mass, and the blackbellies are looking terrible! I've never had this happen before. I usually give them some 'all stock blend' grain...more for me than them....but I've increased the grain too, to see if I can bring them back into good form. I think it's going to be an up hill battle this winter!
