I have found an easy and quick shelter solution. What you need is a good size
tarp 12' x 14' or so, 4 metal t-posts and a spot that has a couple of trees.
Take a rope and tie off from tree to tree about 10 feet off the ground. Throw
your tarp over the rope so the middle lines up with the rope line. Pull the 4
corners out and mark each corner in the dirt for the t-post. Take the corners
out a foot or so to allow for stretch in the tarp. Pound in the t-posts. Tie
off each corner to the posts.
These temporary shelters hold up well to rain and snow because of the " pitch"
in the tarp. I just stand under them to push off snow and rainwater. I replace
each tarp once a year. I admit they are not beautiful but I doubt the sheep
care!
