Oneta:I only give 1/2 cc banamine to a full grown ewe. It will thin the blood and can cause ulcers in the stomach. I would make sure he is getting enough grass or hay to eat to absorb in the gut. If you have to give him a little grain to get something in the gut, I would do it.. Cattle banamine is a little stout for sheep. I use it but have diluted it with saline sterile. It is better to give it oral in some waffle syrup for flavor. Also it should be given under the skin instead of in the muscle to reduce the quick action.
