Oneta,

Don't know what to think about the bloody nose, especially if the ram
seems to be feeling OK otherwise (except for his hock). 1cc of
banamine (assume you gave it subcutaneously?) for three days should
really be fine. We have done this with no problems in yearling
animals.  I would think the bloody nose is probably unrelated to the
banamine given only 1/2 hour before. Overdosing or dosing for long
periods may cause bleeding problems, but would not expect to see this
within half an hour of the first injection.  Oral dosing has been
discouraged because some think it may cause ulcerations in the
esophagus.

However, am wondering whether he also needs to be on antibiotics for a
possible infection from the dog attack - bite wounds, if that's what
they were, often get infected.  And  you may wish to boost his tetanus
protection as well.
