I have a yearling ram that has been sick and have been to the vet several times
and he keeps on going. Is slowly getting stronger but from him being sick found
that some of my guys have worms. The vet thinks it is due to the crazy weather
and not having lots of room.
I have been worming with ivermectin but have now been told studies are showing
it is not working very well on sheep and the vet suggested cydectin and
safeguard to rotate and only use ivermect 1 times a year. He wanted me to do
the cydectin for the first rotation and told me a few places I could get it
cheaper and I now have it in hand.
Now here is the problem.
He is on vacation for 2 weeks, the wormer states it has not been tried on bred
ewes in the US and the tech at the vet clinic will not let me talk to another
vet since I did not get it there.
I want to get everyone done at the same time so I am asking my fellow BB people
for assistance.
Can cydectin be used on bred ewes. Mine are all about 1/2 way through
pregnancy.
Please help.
