Hi, We wormed our sheep with Cydectin in January and our ewes dropped lambs in Feb and March with no problems. I don't recall seeing any warning on our package about bred ewes - we didn't have any problem. Do not use on lambs younger than 3 months - for them we use ivomec drench. I would say that worming with safeguard is like tossing money down the drain - it is worthless. I rotate between cydectin and ivomec injectable (drench for small lambs) - although the vets say that invomec does not work, I continue to have good results with it. I only had a problem when, following vet's advice, I switched to safeguard! I found out about cydectin by contacting a research vet at the Florida A&M University - if you can't get your vet to talk to you, I'm sure this man will be happy to help you - he was very helpful with us. They do research there on sheep and wormers, etc. : Dr. Thomas Peterson (850) 412-5117 [EMAIL PROTECTED] You may also have a university in your state that does research like this who may be able to help out.
