Here's something interesting for those of you in the southeast:Normal, AL, June 3, 2008--- Dairy and meat g oat and sheep producers are invited to
attend the Annual Conference on Small Ruminants on August 22-23 at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana, Alabama. Participants will have a chance to hear experts from across the South, including Fort Valley State University Extension Animal Scientist Specialist Dr. Will Getz; Dr. Richard Browning, associate professor at Tennessee State University; Dr. Terry A. Gipson, interim goat Extension leader, Langston University; Dr. James Morgan, president of the board, National Sheep Improvement Program; and Dr. Maria Leite-Browning, Extension animal scientist, Alabama A&M University. This conference is designed to educate sheep and goat producers on genetic and reproductive management issues that can affect small ruminant herd productivity and profitability in the Southeast. There is no fee for the conference; however, participants are responsible for their meals and lodging expenses.
