I am not an expert at Joint Ill, but it appears to be an arthritic type
disease that is usually caused by a staph organism. Anti inflammatory
injections can cause the immune system to be somewhat compromised.
Especially cortisone. I would discontinue the pain meds as I am
assuming it is banamine. As I stated earlier, I would keep him on
pennicilllin and if necessary a shot of Baytril for a couple of days.
I would also give him Alfalfa hay when he is in the pen. It can work
miracles sometimes...
