hello everyone! all of you have seen message subject lines like that recently - it is sad that breeders end up in that situation but at the same time this is a golden opportunity for you to pick up some of the genetics that you want in your herd future! saving some money on the purchase price means that the combined purchase and transport price for a new animal is not quite so bad - transportation is the MAJOR part of most animal purchases now - and it is sad to know that this will never change so now is the time to purchase and transport your new genetics before gas prices hit $5.00 per gallon! my fees for transportation are based upon the weekly national gasoline average price per gallon - that means as gas goes up my fees go up also - I am planning a late JUL/AUG west coast loop and a SEP/OCT coast to coast route now - I will base the trip routes upon 'definite' reservations about two weeks before the trips begin - that means that to be a part of the TX SD MT WA TX JUL/AUG trip you MUST get with me NOW! - the SEP/OCT trip will for sure have a west coast to east coast leg - that means at least a TX to west to east to TX loop will be available - anything more will be determined by reservations if you are considering making a round trip transportation run yourself consider the following - for a 1000 mile trip you will drive 2000 miles round trip - even the best vehicle is going to cost you $.25 per mile just for gas - that is $500 - now add in your other expenses for a grueling three day trip - add in your time away from home - add in the risk you are taking for needing repairs while on the road - when you add all that together and compare it to my fees for a 1000 mile one way transport suddenly my fee rate becomes a BARGAIN!
