My 3-week-old bottle lamb is refusing the bottle. She is hungry and searches
for the bottle but when I put it down for her she refuses it. She started
this Thursday evening. She usually eats great. Now I have to pry her mouth
open to get the nipple in. Once I have done that she starts sucking. She
doesn't drink it all at once. I have to go through this several times to get
just 2 ounces down her. She usually drinks 4, no problem. My husband said
that while I was out tonight that she didn't play as much with the dog as
she usually does. Her stools are looser than the normal baby stool. To
describe it I would say it looks mucousy. I did not change anything she just
started doing this last night halfway through a bottle. Has anyone had this
happen and what do I do about it?
Thank you,
Julie Riha
