I've seen lambs try to start eat from the feeders or graze with their
mother's as early as 2-3 days old. I had one ewe die when her babies were 1
month
old and they survived with no supplementation - they were eating food on their
own.

We usually try to wean at 2-3 months.

How long does it take for a baby lamb to be weaned? How old do they start to
eat solid food?

Thanks,
