I had a ewe that was this way only she had lost her lambs last fall due to my "guard" donkeys killing them. I did various treatments and additives in the feed etc. 3 weeks ago I wormed the entire flock with panacur. She seemed to show a little impreovement. last Saturday I wormed the entire flock again with Ivomec, She is showing a great improvement. I had excellent results with Ivomec, and cannot find any good reason that I used panacur, except the vet mentioned that panacur was a little easier on the gut. I bought into that myth about blackbellies being resistant to worms ( OK I know I started something here) but my sheep will get a worming every 6 months no matter what from now on. I would guess that this ewe has an Ivomec deficiency.
