Hey you guys,I know I was told this would happen but now what?????? Yasha is thinking he owns the rest of the sheep which are ewes except for one lamb ram....
I can't even go into the pen any more with out him trying to ram me....Is this going to be the state of things from now on or just while he is rutting.....I believe the way he has been acting that maybe all the ewes are in their time to get pregnant. There are 2 blackbellys and one Suffolk/Dorsette cross....she has the ram lamb that is about 3 mo. old. We also have two nanny goats and each has a kid....the nanny with horns is the only one that can keep Yasha in check...she rams the heck out of him and puts him in his place so he backs off from her. He has challenged both my husband and I and untill tonight he has backed off when stood up to sternly...
I took a narrow board in with me and that seemed to stop him a couple times but tonight he was coming at me even with the stick in hand.... I hit him across his forehead to let him know I meant business.....that worked at first but not the last time.....He probably thought I was challenging him....I don't want to really hurt him but what should I do???? He obviously is not afraid of me and I am not into being butted....
This is the one that always came up for us to scratch his head and was so sweet....he has turned into a monster over night. How do you take care of the other sheep with him acting like this...he does not want me near any of the ewes.....Apparently he thinks they belong to him.... <:O)
Help.....Any suggestions?
