Depends on how old your ram is. If he's under 2.5 years, then your son will 
be able to handle him just fine, probably. Most 4-H animals are sold for 
slaughter right after the fair, so I'm assuming that your son won't be 
handling him afterwards, right? If that is not the case, then yes, you will 
regret keeping that ram around past his third birthday.
