[blackbelly] JUN/JUL trip completed! - planning starts for SEP/OCT trip

hello everyone!

the JUN/JUL/AUG transport trip is completed - eight weeks on the road -
23,500 miles plus ten days in Spokane WA at the ADGA national show - it
was a real pleasure meeting face to face so many people I had only had
email contact with before!

on the way home I stopped in Sumner IA at the birthplace of my Southern
Classic trailer for 25 man hours of modifications, repairs, and
maintenance to the trailer - I was able to add even more flexibility to
the internal gate configuration options - the problem of low ground
clearance on the tongue was solved with a very ingenious solution - I
added three more spare tire carriers so that I will never be stranded
because of trailer or tow vehicle tire problems while on the road - the
trailer is ready for another 80,000 miles!

planning is beginning immediately on the SEP/OCT/NOV trip - there is a
tentative possibility that I will need to make a quick trip to WA/OR at
the start of the trip (mid SEPT.) to pick up a load of animals going to
the Mexican border for export - if this happens I will be looking for
some riders going from the Texas area to the Seattle area or anywhere
along the line between the two end points to pay my expenses to get to
Seattle

I will be contacting everyone that has given me tentative info about the
next trip - feel free to ring my bell again if I don't get back to you
in the next few days - I have no idea of the route yet so get your needs
to me ASAP so I can build a route around your animals - as always I need
pick up and drop off city/state and a brief description of the animals
for preliminary planning

here are some sample fees for 90% gas surcharge using point to point
distance from the distance website below

up to 1000 miles - base fee $200 - gas surcharge $180
first animal $380 - extra animals $50 each

up to 1500 miles - base fee $250 - gas surcharge $225
first animal $475 - extra animals $55 each

up to 2000 miles - base fee $300 - gas surcharge $270
first animal $570 - extra animals $60 each

up to 2500 miles - base fee $350 - gas surcharge $315
first animal $665 - extra animals $65 each
