I just finished reading the e-mail about Roundup and the use of it in hay crops. Well folks if you feed your sheep grain (corn, oats, etc.) chances are really good that corn field was sprayed with Roundup. Apparently it's the number one choice of farmers for weed control. The main ingredient in Roundup is called Glyphosphate. It has been observed to reduce the number of songbirds and small mammels in treated areas, due to destruction of their habitat, it is toxic to earthworms, fish, and a lot of insects; it kills non targeted plantlife. One of the inert ingredients in Roundup is called Polyoxyethylene Alkylamine which is a surfactant. Most Polyalkoxylated surfactants are contaminated with whats called 1,4-Dioxane, a known carcinogen.

I don't know about you, but I don't want this type of product around my sheep, not to mention me or my family. I put my foot down with my husband and would not let him spray inside the fence line, couldn't stop him from spraying the rest of the property.
