We visited Waco, TX to once again to check-out the regular Friday morning sheep and goat market. Actually, this time there was some sheep there--recently/usually only goats. Persons are still offing old horned hair rams, and very nice painted and blackbelly ewes. For the $50 asking, I'm not sure all even captured this price. We again left disgusted! Last time TX barbados were selling for 10$ each, so I guess this past Friday is a price improvement here in beef country! We do not care for goats or cows, and never have had any. Goats, goats and more goats are what the former TX barbado ranchers have.A few are still ridding themselves of all hair sheep. Houston is our best ethnic market to sell occasionally on a one-on-one basis. But not much money in this endeavor even after gaining a few consumers..So being European and eating lamb since we could hold a fork, we will continue to frequently eat ours (2 will be Thanksgiving, 2+ December and Christmas), and the heck with any lamb market anywhere.
