1.1 - I'm on a different machine today, with an older babl, so I
can't conveniently test at the moment. But my impression was that
at least one stylesheet and html file were installed by 'make
install'. Will recheck later this week.
1.2 - Yes, I think the correct explanation for --enable-gtk-doc
should be '... and you wish to rebuild the API documentation', i.e.
delete 'and install'

Thanks for this, I'll change the directories and lib versions to
0.2 when I pick up the earlier items. Strangely, I totally
overlooked checking the version here - probably punch-drunk after
about 8 builds of the gimp with different variations, and having to
find another mouse after my original died while I was testing
drag-n-drop of images to the gimp :-|
But - we *never* mention .la files among the libraries, and we
don't normally bother to show the version of the shared lib, it's
just one more thing to forget to change when the next minor version
comes along.
