Hello Philip,
I don't understand completely what you are explaining or asking now:
is there a new script to test (I have no attatchemnt)

some suggestions:
perhaps you can add a section of variables in the script :
#if you want a stable install , chose this variables:
#kernel_version, stable or testing
#distro_version=sarge,etch...
#and perhaps some other essential packages that ar dependent of the
#choice of testing or stable

I think the latest is 2.0 and my floppy isn't working yet.
