May I suggest "grml-blindia" or "grml-blin-d-i-a", since we are planning to build other alternate d-i's for other Knoppix-inspired distros. Maybe find a good "generic" / "flexible" name so that its prefix or suffix can be re-used each time: <distro_prefix>-<blin-d-i-a> or <distro_prefix>-<blindia> like in grml-blindia - GRML Blindfriendly (plain) Debian-Installer Alternative-script is IMHO the most effective since it tell about the distro, and the d-i-a (Debian/distro installer alternative). Anyway, Phil and I were -exactly- talking about it yesterday: can you tell us William what's your current maintenance or contrib to GRML.org, for Philip, Bruno and the other readers ? > Then , you will have 2 commands to install a debian system on your hd: > grml2hd and blindia. Can you remind us what the grml2hd currently do? If I remember it is quite different of our grml-blin-d-i-a ? > If we decide to do this, I can ask this to michael prokop, the > maintainer of the grml-project. We would be proud, so feel free to test / feedback to us and to Michael, and if he's okay, we're OK too. > But, if we wan't to do this, first we have to look for the problem with > the brltty-support with the grml-versions after 0.6.5. OK, I hadn't tested 0.2.1 with my GRML 0.6 yet, and you're right, maybe we also burn a recent 0.7 CD to see if 0.2.1 also runs undeer that GRML version. > Aldo, it would be nice if you can test this with the version 7;0 and > greater. I will do that asap, but can't promise if it'll be today since we have a big famlily meeting. > For me it's more difficult because I have no sighted people with me. > > So, let me know about it.
