Hi all, A few days ago, I used the latest Grml plain Debian installer script to help a non-advanced friend to reinstall a Debian system.
We first got a problem due to a bug in the Grub installation: when you don't enter anything at the end of /dev/, it will not write any Grub config to the MBR (hda). But we did a second trial, and then we entered fd0, and it had worked. Unfortunately we encountered a problem with retrieving packages from the Belnet.be FTP mirror: - we first thought it was a Blindia script problem - but after having dropped the next file into /etc/apt/apt-conf.d/ and running again apt-get update, it immediately stopped with reporting "uncomplete packages" and other error messages; I'm not sure this is a NAT/other problem at the Scarlet.be ISP, anyway, the extra config file for apt can be found here: http://brlspeak.net/blinux/70passiveftp.template (you may rename it to 70passftp or whatever... but it must be present under apt-conf.d/ You will create this directory if not found under /etc/apt/) Hope this helps!
